These guys don't publish their lyrics anywhere so guessing seems to be the best option.

Anaal Nathrakh is Thrakh metal... get it?
BeyondInfinium on 2008, 03, 12

That's exactly what Dimmu Borgir did. Dimmu Borgir made something they wanted to make... and they made more money from people that never heard ov them before. Why is it that you see In Sorte Diaboli T-shirts and the album in stores like Hottopic and best buy? You can't listen to slipknot and Dimmu Borgir unless something went wrong.... and what went wrong was Dimmu selling out. Most black metalist won't admit now, but we all liked Dimmu... but we kind ov just feel.... betrayed...

Dimmu have only "sold out" in that they're making the music they want to make, and that happens to be more accessible. AN have also gone a more accessible route, not quite the same as dimmu, but they're both still great. "Selling out" is to do with sacrificing the music you want to make for what the studio wants you to make rather than changing your creative direction, and neither band has done that.
